So I just got rejected from this art program at my school (and school system) that I've been in every year since third grade... It feels a little wierd. I suppose I understand because my portfolio wasn't as strong as it has been in the past, but I can't help but feel like I deserved it. Which is why, I suppose I didn't get it. You know, that thing called karma.

I like to do this because I don't take an art class during the day and it gives me acess to the school's art supplies as well as giving me projects without being too constricting. I feel like I've been a good participant in the past, but I suppose not good enough. It doesn't help that this year it's a VERY specific topic, and a genre of art that I am neither experienced nor very talented in. (it's grafiti/street art) But I'm still sad.

It's also a bit awkward because my locker is in the art hall, so I have to walk by all the teachers I know by name and have hung around for three years and pretend that I'm not the teensiest bit offended.

But then again, I've got a lot to do to prepare for college, so maybe this is a good thing. I can keep doing art on my own, but when it suits me.

Speaking of my art, I'm sorry I haven't been putting things up... my scanner is broken right now (it just periodically decides that it doesn't like the computer and refuses to register) so I can only take pictures, which are not as high quality. But that's okay, because I'm pretty sure I'm talking to air right now... but who knows who's listening in cyberspace.....
